How many stone is that?

So like I said earlier I've been walking. This morning I listened to Wait Wait on my walk. I love that show. Well, anyway, I've lost 5 pounds since last week. I'm very pleased and happy. I'm definitely getting to/past the age when losing weight gets significantly more difficult. I have 40 more pounds I'd like to lose. I'm going to try to keep track here not because I think anyone is particularly interested, but because it's something to make me somewhat accountable. Maybe I'll stay more on track.

Blah & I have taken up playing chess. We started teaching ourselves Monday and we've each won one game. I guess we're pretty evenly matched. He really likes it. I like it pretty well. We feel all intellectual and snobby now. Forgive us if we look down our noses at you. We really do still love you.

I just felt like walking

I've been trying to exercise to get my weight down. Halloween hasn't been kind to me. I've decided to go walking every morning for at least a half hour for the last week. It's been so good for me. I'm losing a bit of weight, but mostly it's just so awesome to be out before most everyone else, seeing the dog walkers, listening to Kirby on the mp3 player. Most every day I see these two Scottish Terriers. Today I saw this gorgeous Australian Shepherd sort of dog. I'm really hoping next time you see me you won't recognize me.

I've also been reading some Dalai Lama. I love his writings. He brings such peace to my life. I highly recommend any and all of his books. Lately I've been wanting to take care of me and pamper myself. I don't mean pamper myself with riches, but pamper my soul. That's a hard thing to do if you don't take the time to do so. But I've been trying. I bought some lovely pumpkin spice bath gel and I'm loving it. It's the little things like that that make my heart sing. Lately it's been that, the Dalai Lama, and Kirby Heyborne. Odd mix, I know.
