I went to Austin this past weekend for a big Re/Max convention. It was great times. On the way home we made a detour to Lockhart to see where they filmed my favorite movie, Waiting for Guffman (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118111/). Here I am on the stairs to Corky's apartment. Sadly, he wasn't home. It was an interesting trip. We got a flat and had to call a friend that I work with whose husband happens to work in Lockhart. He "knew a guy" who came to rescue us, but then we had to go to the lovely Lockhart Wal-Mart (circa 1982) and Dollar General. Blaine was not feeling well, but he humored me enough to let me drive around for a few minutes and find this Holy Grail. We missed the Dairy Queen, sadly. It was only a block from Corky's apartment, I later found out. Another time. The best man from our wedding lives in Austin so we'll be going back sometime to visit him.Wednesday, February 08, 2006
