It's been a while...

Gosh, I've just been so darn busy doing lotsa nothing. I'm on an anti-anxiety med that gives me fantastic bouts of insomnia so I sleep from about 7pm to about 3am. It's great fun. But I seriously feel SO much better. I've been passing the time in the early AM watching Ken Burns' Civil War. It's great fun and truly fascinating. I'm not a war person, but it's a well-done documentary and interesting to think about such a horrible civil war in our own country.

I bought a paint by number set off the clearance rack at Barnes & Noble. I've always wanted to try that. I've never done much painting, but I'm a no-talent hack at drawing so I never figured I'd be much of a painter. This is pretty fail-safe, though, and keeps me out of trouble.

The Ft. Bend County Fair is starting today and it's a HUGE deal down here. Kids get the day off from school and government offices are closed. I went to renew my registration this morning and couldn't so here I am at work crazy early. I get to update my blog which has been very lacking lately. I'm sure my legions are absolutely devistated.

Alas, I must bid you adieu and wish you a blessed weekend full of R&R. And may there be glorious weather for the Race for the Cure! And if you're in the greater Sugar Land Area, come down to the big fair and grab a corn dog!
