Walden

I picked up Walden by Henry David Thoreau again last night for the third attempt at a serious read. It's a bit challenging for me, but I absolutely love it. I've really been into him and Ralph Waldo Emmerson lately. I picked up an Emmerson compilation a few weeks ago and haven't really read it but I've thumbed through it and it seems every time I read a bit here and there I find somthing that I absolutely love. Reading them truly makes me happy. I just wish with all my heart that I could read for more than 10 minutes without falling asleep.

Someday I want to go to Walden Pond. I want to sit by the water with no one else around (I know that won't ever happen) and just see and enjoy the scenery, the tranquility, the connectedness to nature and the earth. I want to remember there are places with no cigarette butts, McDonalds wrappers, or WalMart within eyesight. I want to revel in all creation. I want to be inspired to write great works and have great thoughts and stop worrying about Who Killed the Electric Car. Someday, my friends. Someday.
