I love this guy!

Second to my husband is Alexi Murdoch. Here's an interview with him. The guy got into Duke and never graduated high school. He told the record labels to go kiss off, he's making his own music his own way. His music is just about the most beautiful music you ever did hear. Hmmm... Alexi Murdoch Leavitt. I like that. Or maybe just Murdoch Leavitt. I'm sure the Blah wouldn't mind naming our son Murdoch. I may have to agree to Murdoch Orson Leavitt.

One of Murdoch's most popular songs is "Orange Sky". In an interview, Murdoch said when he took the music to a record company that the recording executive popped the disc into his computer rather than a stereo and then proceeded to stare at the counter on the screen waiting to see how long it took to get to the refrain. The executive's reaction supposedly convinced Murdoch to take the indie route of releasing his music.
