I came across this book the other day on one of our trips to B&N. Apparently it's also a website/blog and just came out in book form. I opened it and flipped through it and almost immediately knew I had to have it. Pretty much everything in there is me. To be sure, it's definitely about a specific type of White Person, say someone from Vermont rather than Alabama.
Number 1 in the book is coffee. Now up until about 5 years ago I was all about the coffee. The rest reads like the story of my life. To anyone who has read the blog or book, this is what me and the Mister are doing this morning. We're heading out the door to the nature center, then to the farmer's market, then to breakfast. When we get home I plan to start packing stuff up to give to charity. Oh, and yes, I'll have my cloth grocery bags.
Last night when I came home this book was waiting for me. My husband rocks. He knew it would make me smile to have this and check off the list to see how white I really am.
