There Once Was a Gal From C.P.

I've been playing around with the idea of writing my memoir/life story for some time now and have finally decided to get serious with it.  I've written a couple of bits already and am going to work on more.  It's something I really enjoy writing, not in a self-important sort of way, but more because I'm so nostalgic.  I also love writing but am no good at fiction, Me and the Octopus notwithstanding. 

So, I'm asking for help.  My memory is crap, especially for my early childhood.  I am looking for any memories or thoughts that anyone has of me as a little kid.  I'm also looking for any stories or information about grandparents or other family members who are no longer with us or any other family tidbits.  I regret that I didn't know my grandparents better.  I still have one grandma around and I hope I am able to get some information from her.

Anything you'd like to share or contribute to my cause, please email me.  I'm really hoping to get some good stuff, particularly about ancestors.  I'm interested in anything anyone has to share, even if it doesn't seem especially exciting.  One of my favorite pieces of family history is a letter I got from a cousin.  It's his dad writing to grandpa asking for his mom's hand in marriage.  It's very cool stuff.
