I'm keeping this deliberately brief.
I'm feeling kind of discouraged tonight. My sadness is from the realization that there are so many people in the world that care only for what any given situation does to better their station in life and think little about how they treat the least of us. What's wrong with taking care of each other? Isn't that what the Good Book is all about? I refer any readers to The Sermon on the Mount. That is what being a Christian is to me, my friends.
Goodnight.

To Christians in the first and second centuries, the Sermon on the Mount was THE central text of their faith. Simple, straightforward... The Son of God, explaining in no uncertain terms HOW TO TREAT EACH OTHER.
Too many Christians today seem infatuated with the wrathful God of the Old Testament, and are only too happy to overlook all the stuff about kindness, mercy, and anything else that may actually benefit SOMEONE ELSE, as opposed to themselves.
The sad irony is, if this keeps up, the wrathful God is exactly what some people are going to see...
