War - What is it Good For?

Okay, so we're more than a week into the Israel/Lebanon "conflict" and I'm still seeing news headlines referring to them being on the "Brink of War". What is up with that? It's just one of my recent pet peeves. There are missiles flying back and forth across the border daily, mass evacuations, people and buildings are being blown up. If that's not war I don't know what is. Yet I've still not heard one person refer to it as such. What are they waiting for?
