It was 6 years ago this week that I went to London to visit my groovy friend James with my brother. A friend at work has me listening to this British classical music station online. It's awesome because it reminds me of my time over there. There's ads running on the site for a home show that was just a couple of blocks from our hostel. I remember the huge daffodil they had on the building. It was a wonderful week of visiting Boots and Tesco and eating til I was repleat and then getting pissed and coming home knackered. I fell in love with Chinese food over there, of all things. It was an awesome trip. I highly recommend anyone going over there. My favorite place there was Regent's Park. It was so beautiful and British and James jumped in the waterfall on his aluminium scooter and posed for some pictures.
Somewhat unrelated was an awesome moment I had with my mom before I went. We went out to dinner and she was getting over her chemo and her hair was just starting to grow back. She was quite tired of covering her head and asked if I thought she could lose the scarf. I said of course. So she got brave and took it off when we were there eating and as far as I know she never wore it again. She may have covered up for work. I don't know. But I was really proud of her for showing off her sort of buzz cut and being brave that day. That whole time seems a lifetime ago now.

That was six years ago? Dang time flies. I still remember that little hike we did in Wales. It was so impossibly green there. Fun times.
