G's Green Tip o' the Day

I have been on a quest to find a natural deodorant that really works. I thought I had found it in baking soda, which totally worked, but after a few days gave me a rash. Then I bought a store-bought natural deodorant that seemed to work but then wasn't as well. Then I tried vinegar. Yep. Plain old vinegar, one of natures wonder products. This stuff works better than my regular non-natural deodorant. I just pour a bit in my palm, rub my hands together, and apply it with my hands.

For those who don't know, traditional deodorants are horrible for you. They contain any number of chemicals, one of the worst is aluminum. It swells up your sweat glands to keep you from sweating (thus the antiperspirant effect) which is very unnatural and unhealthy. This is how your body releases toxins.

So I'm very excited to have this new thing. I really hope it keeps working so well. I don't smell like vinegar once it's on and dried. And I know it's chemical free and not tested on animals. It's also very cheap and requires little packaging. I'm just getting into the wonders of vinegar.

Wow- that is pretty cool! I'll have to give it a try- I had no idea about man made deoderant.. and how it worked. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing:)

I appreciate your frustration with the burbs. Clint and I have been completely inspired by a book, Noah's Garden, about how to live a more eco-friendly life in the burbs. I highly recomend it.
